McCain - For Better or Much Worse.
While I admire Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh and those who represent the Devoutly Conservative there is a time when a voter must choose between doing what he or she would like and doing what is necessary. Let’s look at this political situation like a chess match. Let’s think though this before we make any rash decisions we might regret in January.
Is John McCain without his faults? Let’s agree that John McCain has spent the last 20 years positioning himself as a moderate in the eyes of a liberal media. Was that stupid? I would say McCain’s manipulation of the media has worked out pretty well for the man, and as moves on the political chess board could he have done better?
The important thing to remember is that it will be possible to influence the decisions of John McCain, it will be impossible to influence the decisions of Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton.
And the bottom line is the Supreme Court. The next President will likely appoint 4 Supreme Court Justices.
Now McCain might be a little to willing to ‘compromise’ with the Liberals for me, but he’s a lot more Conservative than Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton.
John McCain is supposed to have quite a temper; I think this nation is long overdue for a President who strikes the fear of God into those around him. John McCain did support the Surge strategy in Iraq, and that was a politically risky position for him to take at the time. Give credit where credit is due.
I would guess McCain knows how the world really works, and I would give good odds that he will get some things done that all Conservatives will be pretty happy with.
And I would give even better odds that Obama or Clinton will pretty much just devastate the United States, both economically and militarily.
So what choice would a chess player do at this point? I’m not sure, but I’d guess giving up the queen to make some sort of political statement sure wouldn’t be at the top of the list.
Not voting or voting for Hillary is an idiot’s gambit. The idea that Conservatives should unite and punish the Republican Party by enabling the election of Hillary Clinton as president is not in the best interests of this nation.
How can we be a party to such a dangerous and selfish strategy? The next President of these United States will have the primary honor of deciding the makeup of a Supreme Court whose decisions will decide the direction of this nation for the next hundred years.
This is no time to take your eyes of the board. This is a time to swallow the bitter medicine and make the best of what we have the chance to work with – for better or much worse.
I would love to hear what you have to say

My name is John Garrett and I live in the small town of Kaycee, Wyoming. I grew up on my parent’s ranch 18 miles east of town on the Middle Fork of Powder River.
Just what the world needs. One more boring ditto head spewing crap. If propogandists like yourself would just go away the world would be a better place. Go Barack!
